| Sir with basic understanding of layers you can do that. but you need an editing suit that will allow layering of video tracks. Sony Vegas and Adobe premiere will do that. Or better learn the Adobe after effects. |

| i believe the editor used both after effects and premiere (or any other video editing software such as sony vegas). You can do most of those 2D animations as well in premiere but if you really want to be more efficient, I also suggest that you learn after effects. It is better though that you also know how to use photoshop and premiere first before learning after effects. Go for it! Good luck! |

@ arbi_ph and chamaltatis
thank you for answering my question. I am learning adobe premiere now, hopefully in the future makakagawa rin ako ng videos na ganito.
Also, where can I find a tutorial of that video effect na parang yung skies lang ang nagmo-move while yung mga other elements sa video (like yung buildings, roads etc.) ay hindi nag-mo-move. |

| there are two ways that i can suggest: first, the easier way is that get a video camera then place it in a tripod then shoot the environment(buildings and the sky, etc.). Make sure that the tripod and camera won't move while shooting. Shoot it for a long time. Then if you will edit it, just increase the speed of that video clip making it like fast-forwarded (you can do this in premiere by right-clicking the clip then choose "speed/duration" then enter an amount in the speed more than 100%. the higher the amount, the faster the clip will be). If you will check it, the clouds in the sky moves dramatically while the buildings are not moving. This is of course because buildings and roads are static so they won't move even if you increase the speed of the clip. the problem though with this way is that, if there are trees in the scene, you will see them moving too fast. The second way then is to clean the environment's sky in photoshop then import it in is premiere. make another layer of a sky then animate it separately to let it move fast. this way requires more advanced animation skill though. if you really want to learn more advanced way in doing this using after effects, visit videocopilot.net and check out there sky replacement tutorial. |

Thank you soo much for the help. I'll take the baby steps first and experiment on the "easier" way, then maybe il proceed with learning more advanced tricks.. baby steps lang muna.
But thanks a lot for your help guys!!!!

I think that part was made by taking multiple shots in burst mode, and then "stitched" together to make it look as if the subjects in the photo were moving. Parang basic animation yung principle nya.
Shoot in burst, import in PPro, then pag tabi tabi mo lang sila sa timeline. |

Hi i checked out the link you gave from wandering barefoot and it's relatively easy to do in after effects. If you look closely you will see that the stop motion effect that they did is consistent. Consistent ang tagal ng movement and distances nung mga phiotos pag nag-a-animate. From there malalaman mo kung paano nila ginawa or kung papano mo gagawin sa ae.
The first thing to do is animate the layers the way you normally do. Then after your done pre-compose your comp or pre-render it if you want to then apply the effect "Posterize Time" change it to 15 fps or even lower this will give you that stop motion effect. This can also be applied to videos. Or you can do it manually by cutting your clip and removing certain frames to make it more organic.
And dun sa gif effect tama sila yo can do it by shooting in burst mode, then assemble it in either ae or premiere just drag it in the timeline and specify the duration for each frame will be siguro mga 5-10 frame for each photo it would depend on how you shot it.
just understand the basic concepts of after effects and you'll be able to do this. _________________ Building your visual library never stops... |
